Morning After Grace
Morning After Grace is a heartfelt, charming comedy by Carey Crim that explores unexpected connections and second chances. After flirting at a funeral, Abigail and Angus wake up the next morning under the same blanket. When a neighbor suddenly knocks on the door, all bets are off for a peaceful retirement! First presented at the Purple Rose Theatre, which also developed A Jukebox for the Algonquin, this show is perfect for those who appreciate humor and warmth in the face of life’s surprises. Runs January 24th – March 2nd, 2025.
National Bohemians
What do a hardcore Republican, a gay screen writer, a cranky shipwright, a grandma on the lam, and a yoga-loving influencer have in common? Nothing. That is, until a hurricane forces them to hole up together in a ramshackle boathouse in the Chesapeake Bay to ride out the storm. Will cheap beer help them fix long-broken family bonds? Probably not. A dysfunctional family comedy that’s funny, moving, and just a little supernatural. Written by local playwright Luke Sorge, National Bohemians is a Miners Alley world premiere! Directed by Warren Sherrill. Runs March 28th- April 20th, 2025.
Ring of Fire
Ring of Fire is a high-energy jukebox musical that brings the legendary songs of Johnny Cash on stage, weaving his iconic hits into a story of love, resilience, and the American spirit. This journey of a man in search of his own soul is an almost mythic American tale, as Cash grows up in the heartland, then leaves to find misadventure, success, faith, redemption, and the love of a good woman, before at long last returning home. A must-see for fans of timeless country music and the Man in Black’s enduring legacy. Runs May 9th – June 29th, 2025.
Assassins
Assassins is a bold, provocative, Tony-award-winning musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim. The story explores the minds and motives of history’s most infamous figures who attempted to assassinate U.S. presidents, blending dark humor and compelling narratives to examine the American Dream’s darker side. This riveting, thought-provoking experience challenges conventional perspectives on power and infamy. Directed by Warren Sherrill, with music direction by David Nehls. Runs August 8th – September 14th, 2025.

On a whim, they decide to take a spontaneous trip to New York City to see her in a one-night-only concert. What unfolds on their journey leads to an evening filled with side-splitting hilarity. Another hit show from The Purple Rose Theatre, the same theatre that brought us A Jukebox for The Algonquin, this crowd-pleasing comedy is guaranteed to make you laugh until you cry.
