Blue Ridge

Thank you for the overwhelming response of support during this time of uncertainty and confusion. It says so much about our patrons, that even though you have to worry about what is on your own plates, many of you have come forward to help us in our time of need. So, from all of us at Miners Alley Playhouse, the board of directors, the staff, the volunteers, and the artists, we say thank you!

We are currently open with COVID-19 restrictions in place for the safety of our patrons, staff, actors, and crew. Thank you all for being so patient with us during this ever-changing situation. If you need to reach us please email at mail@minersalley.com.

As of February 2022

Do I have to wear a mask indoors at your shows?

No. While you may wear a mask if you choose to do so, as of February 17, 2022, following the lifting of mask mandates in Jefferson County, Miners Alley Playhouse will no longer require masks during the show. This means drinks are also allowed in the theatre during the play.

The CDC still suggests that people wear masks in high-risk (including theatres) regardless of vaccination status. For us at Miners Alley Playhouse, we are not only looking out for the safety of our patrons, staff, cast, crew, and teaching artists BUT are also looking out for the health of the organization, as well.  We want to stay open. We want to provide quality entertainment and youth education.  We want to be a part of the cultural arts richness of Golden. If that means we need to limit audiences to vaccinated only, even though we no longer require masks for the performance – for us, that is a no-brainer. We take the precautions so that you can still go to the theatre!

What are some of your other safety protocols?

We are proud to have a new HVAC system that not only has CDC approved filtration system but our system also constantly circulates up to 20% of outside air into the building. This makes our building one of the safest in the community.

In addition, our staff is 100% vaccinated and our building is cleaned daily. We have been open and working in the office since June of 2020 and have had zero cases or incidents.

Will the MAP bar be open?

YES, YES, YES. The MAP bar will be open.  And, you are now allowed to bring your drink into the theatre, as of February 17, 2022.

Will there be programs?

Yes, we have a few options:  There will be a limited number of regular programs, but they will also be available digitally and displayed in the lobby of the theatre on a monitor. The digital program work similarly to how restaurants use QR codes for their menus. You will simply open your camera on your phone and hold it up to the QR Code and the link for the program will appear on your screen. Your digital program will include all the necessary information such as artist bios, song lists, important MAP information, sponsor ads and information, and more.

February 2022 – Miners Alley Playhouse has made considerable efforts to make the in-person theatre experience as safe as possible for our patrons. Our theatre is regularly deep cleaned and high touch surfaces are cleaned in between performances. While we no longer ask patrons, staff, volunteers and performers (when not performing) to wear masks and socially distance themselves while in the building, you may wear a mask if you choose to do so. Our staff is regularly tested and all fully vaccinated. We also have a brand new HVAC system with high grade filters and more air circulation delivering clean air and diluting potential contaminants.
