Youth Classes Winter 2025

2025 Classes:

During the school year, Miners Alley offers after-school classes for students from pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade. Led by professional teaching artists with years of experience in theatre and education, students grow in confidence as they collaborate and communicate to create original work and to stage sensational performances.

Our classes are scheduled to follow the seasons: Fall, Winter, and Spring. Summer is time for special classes as well as our award-winning summer camps!

Our Winter 2025 classes are currently running – registration has closed, but they are listed below for reference. Summer elementary camp and teen program information will be released on or around January 22nd, 2025. The Spring 2025 class schedule will be announced by early February.

winter 2025 Session

Grades Pre-K to K

Creative Dramatics at Miners Alley Performing Arts Center
Thursdays, January 23-February 27
4:00-4:45 p.m.

6-Week Class
Cost: $112

Four to six-year-olds play theatre games, explore creative movement, and enjoy storytelling in a safe environment focused on imagination and fun. A drop-off class for young artists to enjoy! Students must be at least four years old as of the first class date.

Grades K-2

Introduction to the Stage at Stober Elementary
Tuesdays, January 14-March 4
2:45-3:45 p.m.

8-Week Class
Cost: $199 plus $12 school registration fee

Ignite your child’s creativity and encourage them to explore the performing arts! Led by our talented teaching artists, students will develop characters, work on physical and emotional expression in storytelling, and gain confidence in verbal communication skills. The session will end with a brief performance of scenes for friends and families during the last class time. Students should be current Stober Elementary students. 

Grades 3-5

Intro to Acting at Fairmount Elementary
Thursdays, January 16-March 6
2:45-3:45 p.m.

8-Week Class
Cost: $199

The session will end with a brief performance of scenes for friends and families during the last class time. Students should be current Fairmount Elementary students.

Grades 6-8

Introduction to Musical Theatre at Bell Middle
Thursdays, January 16-February 20
3:30-5 p.m.

6-week class
Cost: $170

Musical theatre performers use their bodies to sing, to dance, and to act. In this class, students will develop basic dance, choral, and acting skills while working on selected songs and musical scenes. They will practice common audition activities like cold readings and short movement sequences. The session will end with a final performance for students’ friends and families during the final class time. Students should be current Bell Middle students.
